Sitting Pretty

Here's another from me, Annie Sitting Pretty on her little treasure chest. I have used the beatufiul Melissa Frances papers - love the colours and gorgeous pattern and I think they are so perfect for this little poppet

Dreamer

You certainly get variety in our new Pixie collection, and here is my absolute favourite: Dreamer. She is different to the other pixies but my goodness she is so beautiful.

I think Dreamer is perfect for a vintage look, but you could experiment and see what she looks like in brighter colours. It is amazing how different the images look according to how you colour them.

The sentiment is part of the collection and created especially for this image.

Have a wonderful Sunday. Weather is glorious here in London, could do with a seaside just around the corner today :-) Hope you are enjoying the same weather wherever you are.

Double Pixie Treat

We have ditched the "Fairy" tag and replaced it with Pixie, well not completely ditched it but "intermingled". Can I just say again that they will be ready when they are ready and no amount of screaming and shouting will get them to you any quicker (ha ha), it will be at least another week before the digi-stamps are ready, perhaps even longer; but you can start planning your projects now.

Today I created a showcase comprising TWO of our enchanting pixies: Thistle and Daisy. I kept chopping off Thistle's top petals so there's a variety of pictures:

Here is the lovely Thistle:

... and this is Daisy

I designed a little toadstool for Lou's Daisy to sit on

Sorry if I post too many pictures, I take dozens and never happy with them LOL
Thanks for visiting, stay patient, and have a lovely Saturday.

Watch out!

There's a Fairy teen about the place!! I wonder if they are quite as stroppy as the un-winged kind!? Meet Rosebud Fairy. This little lady has dyed her delicate pink rose petals black, much to her parents disdain.

Rosebud is part of our new Pocket Faires collections, soon to be released:

My daughter didn't care much for the sentiment I chose, it didn't make sense to her (well she's only 12 and the hormones have only just started kicking in), so this morningI had to quickly make something else.

I apologise for the occasional glimpse of a foam pad, it looked alright in real life LOL

There will be more previews coming soon so watch out for those.

Thanks for visiting ♥

Louise and I are so happy with the reaction to the new Charmed collection, it really seems as though you will love it as much as we do, YIPPEE!!
In my second card I am using the Cornflower Fairy from our Pocket Fairies collection, as well as one of the sentiments that comes with the set.

I also decorated the inside this time, and here another two images are used: Cornflower Fairy Cameo and another sentiment.

I tried to create a mysterious woodland feel to my card.

By the end of this we'll have you all believing in magic and wondrous things ;-)

Do you think fairies are all sweetness and light? Well think again, we have a Fairy with ATTITUDE! Come back tomorrow and find out what I am talking about ;-)

Thanks for visiting ♥

Exciting News

What would make you lovely people jump up and down in excitement on a grey and drizzle morn? No I am not talking about Brad Pitt serving you breakfast in bed wearing just his socks, but it is something equally as fantastic - yep, you've guessed it, a brand new collection: The Pocket Fairies. Created by our lovely designer Louise Brigden this amazing collection of woodland nymphs is sure to capture your heart and your imagination.

Over the next few days we will give you a few previews and the collection will then be available to pre-order in about two weeks time. Please do not start asking for them before they are announced, it really wont make them appear any quicker and it will give poor Lou a nervous breakdown! ;-)

The first Pocket Fairy collection will comprise not only the Pocket Fairies, but also accessory stamps and sentiments. The collection will be available both as a digi-stamp bundle and also as "real" Delectable stamps for the ardent stampers out there.

Here is the first of our new Pocket Fairies, isn't she just delightful?

Pop back tomorrow when I will have another preview card to show you, featuring another of these fabulous Pocket Fairies ♥

Paper Piecing with Annie

It's a while since I had a go at paper piecing but as it's one of my favourite techniques this card was long over due. I'm sure it's a technique you're all familiar with but if your aren't let me explain. The idea is that you use patterned or textured paper for a particular part of your image. To achieve this you just need to stamp the image as normal onto your white background and then stamp the same image again onto your chosen paper. Then simply cut out the area that you want and glue it onto your main image. I've used this technique on both of Annie's dresses for this card. The great thing about paper piecing is that you can make your image match perfectly with your patterned background papers.

I am a big fan of 6x6 paper pads, the patterns are just the right size for cards. So when I saw that Karen had some in the store that I hadn't spotted before I had to snap them up because they always sell out so quickly. The papers on this card are from my favourite pad Basic Grey Marrakech aren't they gorgeous! Oh yes the rub ons are K&Co Blue Awning.
I cut the circle on my Silhouette, I'm really pleased with how it looks so I think you may be seeing some more of these cards from me. The Stamp is Elegant Annie .
This card is going to be a thank you card for my aunty Kath - she's knitted me a lovely scarf, I think the stamped image of Irresistable Annie on the flap is perfect for saying thank you.

I hope you like it, thank you for looking and have a lovely day

Louise xx

Quick Masking Tutorial

Here is a super quick tutorial in stamping multiple images. I have been asked several time how to do this so hope some of you find this little guide helpful.

Step 1
Stamp the image you want in the foreground twice

Step 2

Cut out one of the images. You only need to cut out the relevant part.

Step 3

Add a strip of removable, repositional, tape on the back of the cut-out image. Place it on top of the duplicate main image so that it totally overlaps:

Step 4
Stamp your second image where you want it, on top of the cut-out

Step 5

Remove the cut-out leaving the main duplicate image exposed.

No excuse for not using your accessory stamps now :-)

A bright and Summery Irresistible Annie

Isn't it amazing how different an image can be dependent on the colours you use? Here is Irresistible Annie surrounded by bright and summery colours. I used Basic Grey Lime Rickey for the first time and I really love these shades.

I hope you are all enjoying your Annie stamps, I am loving seeing all your creations on the Web, what an amazingly talented bunch you are ♥♥
